Originally from Wisconsin, Sujata moved to Portland for law school, ended up loving the area, and decided to stay.  After graduating law school, she held several positions involving drafting and editing contracts and small business litigation.   Prior to joining Apex, she was a transaction director at Capital Pacific for more than six years.  Sujata joined Apex Real Estate Partners in 2020 to help run the company’s sales and leasing transactions.

Sujata’s goal is for each of her client’s transactions to be as seamless as possible.  To this end, she needs to stay two steps ahead of any issues or deadlines.  By predicting any pitfalls in advance, she can avoid them, or reserve time to solve them.

The more challenges that come her way, the more she learns and the more efficient she becomes. Each time is an opportunity to provide the best service she can to all of her clients. She take pride in putting out high quality work product in a timely fashion, but also takes a minute to listen to any number of entertaining stories her colleagues or clients have knowing that the personal touch is what makes real estate fun and meaningful.

Sujata is part of  a proud member of Oregon Women Lawyers and Board member of Oregon Minority Lawyers Association (OMLA). She has also completed a nine-months-long program through the Oregon State Bar Leadership Institute which aims to cultivate the leadership skills of lawyers from diverse backgrounds.  By completing this program Sujata is better able to serve not only the legal profession, but the Oregon community by increasing awareness regarding ethical, professional, and community service opportunities.
